In the true spirit of adventure into the Kingdom of God the Celtic Mission has a tradition (dating back to St. Patrick and the 5th - 9th century) of a late night worship service for the anointing of the brother(s) / sister(s) being sent out on the night before their departure to a foreign land. They drank the blood of Christ and ate his body for nourishment and then went ahead and had a light supper of soup for the fun of it since they were already awake and hungry. (We have great left over soup from the gathering...)
We will probably also 'Light the Rhino' as has been rumored - in the true Open Hand tradition and make a generally loud rukus as we celebrate Marshall's life and calling to the homeless of Romania.
Blessings,
O'
